Interview
What books have most influenced your life? Tess of the d'Urbervilles. I finally understood the surety of my own death after reading this passage of the book, "She suddenly thought one afternoon, when looking in the glass at her fairness, that there was yet another date, of greater importance to her than those; that of her own death, when all these charms would have disappeared; a day which lay sly and unseen among all the other days of the year, giving no sign or sound when she annually passed over it; but not the less surely there."
Who are your favorite music artists? David Bowie, Violent Femmes, Bobby Conn, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Les Baxter and Henri Mancini.
What are your favorite websites and why? Freelance Writerville is a great community for writers with guest posting, a forum, and tips. I also enjoy Something Awful because it is funny. Also at the top of my list are Freelance Switch and The Freelance Zone.
Where else can people find you on the web? Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and Freelance Writerville.
What are your professional highlights? Every day that I pick up a new client, help someone create a website with great content, and learn something new is a highlight.
What advice do you have for the journey of life? Don't stand in your own way- there are plenty of people waiting to do that for you.
What are you most passionate about in life? Living a life worth living- without debt, with a reasonable amount of stress, and with a focus on time rather than things.
What ticks you off? Animal abuse.
Any thoughts or ideas on living a greener life? I have made several changes to accommodate a greener lifestyle. I feel good about he changes I've made thus far, and hope to get greener each year.
What would people be surprised to know about you? That I have a very dry, sarcastic, black sense of humor. I take offense to almost nothing.
Philosophy
I like to live by Taoist philosophies. I approach projects and events, "like a leaf whirling in the stream." I don't fight and work against life- I go with the flow while still making certain that the flow leads somewhere toward happiness and success.
